Hat Maintenance
- Your hat needs to be brushed after each wearing to remove dirt and dust.
- If your hat is in need of repair because it is stretched out of shape or needs the lining replaced, take it to a hat shop such as Henry the Hatter. www.henrythehatterdetroit.com
They have two shops, one in Detroit and the other in Southfield. Call ahead to find out the best time to bring your hat in for repair. The cost for this service is about $25.
Bowties
Here is a link to C&C Sutlery where you can purchase new black bowties should you need to replace your current one. Please make sure you order one in black, no fancy colors.
White Shirts
New white shirts can also be purchased through C&C Sutlery. Be sure to purchase the bleached white shirt with a collar when your old ones begin to show wear or stains.

Board Member Search
The DSB Board is seeking ONE outside board member with an interest in American history and music.
The board meets 4 times a year on the last Mondays of January, April, July and October from 7pm to 9 pm. The January, April and October meetings are held via Zoom with the July meeting held in person near Ann Arbor.
The Board is specifically looking for people with experience in strategic planning, marketing, non-profit management, leadership, and financial analysis/budgeting. Spouses and significant others of band members are welcome!
