As America’s premier 19th Century brass band, the Dodworth Saxhorn Band (DSB) is committed to bringing America’s past to life through recreating a community brass band. Audiences are entertained with instruments, music and dress of the period, and are educated about the instruments and music, as well as the social, political and historical era which produced them. The Dodworth Saxhorn Band is a Michigan 501, c-3 non-profit corporation of professional musicians, a volunteer Board of Directors and several paid staff members. It is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The DSB is seeking a Musical Director/Conductor who has had previous conducting experience in public performances and is open to opportunities presented by a non-traditional conducting role, to include interacting with the vocalists and audience during performances.
